Nampaknya kami yang dah tua bangka nie tak layak dahlah nak menyertai dan berharap nak lawan ngan Wayne Rooney. Jadi bagi anda yang masih budak-budak lagi, silalah join dan kalau lawan ngan Manchester United nanti, mintak tolong tacklekan Rio Ferdinand untuk kami.

NIKE5 Challenge a Chance for Youth to Face Off Against Superstars from Manchester United
KUALA LUMPUR, July 7th 2009 – In conjunction with the upcoming Manchester United Asia Tour leg in Kuala Lumpur, NIKE Malaysia is organizing the inaugural NIKE5 Challenge, a thrilling winner-takes-all contest in hopes to face-off against the football stars from the club.
The tournament will see teams battling it out in 16 and 17 July 2009 at the KLCC Outdoor Car Park. Teams will play to win as many 5 minute pickup games as they can in a 2 hour period to advance to the second round, to be held on 17 July 2009. The rules are straightforward – the first team to score wins will stay on court awaiting their next opponent. Should it be a goalless draw, both teams must leave the court and move to the next game.
On the second day of play, the top 16 teams chalk up the most number of wins after two hours of qualifying for will advance to the quarterfinals, from whereon all matches will be played under sudden death rules. Under sudden death play, the first team to score wins and moves on. Should neither team score after 5 minutes, penalties will be introduced where players must score with a back heel shot from midcourt.
Finalists will bag top honors to meet with the Manchester United players for a kick-about and will take home autographed club merchandise, RM5,000 worth of NIKE apparel and grandstand tickets to the match on 18 June 2009.
Registration
The tournament is open to youths aged 15-18 years old with only 5 players per team allowed. No entry fee will be required and participants are encouraged to register early as limited slots are available. Proof of identification is mandatory and parents’ or guardians’ authorization on the registration form is required to acknowledge the terms and conditions of this event.
Teams must present the cut-out portion containing a serial number attached to each form as their entry ticket to play. School students are also required bring along a signed and stamped permission form from their schools on 16 July 2009 and failing to do so will result in disqualification.
Registration for the Nike5 Challenge will run from 6 – 15 July 2009. Forms are now available at the following NIKE stores; KLCC, Pavilion, Midvalley, Sunway Pyramid and Sunway Pyramid. They are also obtainable at the following Al-Ikhsan outlets; Bukit Bintang Plaza, Alamanda Putrajaya, Sunway Pyramid and Plaza Alam Sentral Shah Alam. Upon completion, participants are to return the forms to the respective outlets.
