Can you imagine watching Cristiano Ronaldo, Fabregas or Frank Lampard glazing through the grass of Stadium Shah Alam? Imagine no more as we have be ready, be very ready because the English Premier League might be coming to Malaysia in the near future.

Known as the global project, the Premier League committee has made whether a stupid or brave decision to play one more league game not in England. To clarify, for now, the English Premier League is playing 38 games per season. If the new plan is approved, they will be one more game to be play and it will be play not in England but in overseas.

Of course fans all over the world will be much excited with the possibility to see their favourite team playing in front of their eyes. However, this plan has received some furious feedback especially from managers like Sir Alex Ferguson and Harry Redknapp as they weren’t brought together to discuss about this plan before hand.

Of course the key for this plan is money. With prospect to earn a lot more money than now(broadcasting money alone earns almost 625M pound for EPL), the English Premier League committee doesn’t seem to care about the privilege of home based fans. Using the term ‘English Premier League games are becoming more global” these days, the people who are running the committee are somehow much more creative in terms of making more money.

However for die hards of English Premier League teams at Malaysia, this kind of news will be greeted with open hands. Not everyone have the money and time to watch Manchester United live at Old Trafford. If the new plan does come true, most football fan’s dream just might come true.
